Rene Koch

René Koch (born 1945) worked as a make-up artist, beauty expert and author. After training as a commercial artist and working, among other jobs, as a dishwasher, bartender and drag performer, he was trained as a make-up artist by the US cosmetics company Charles of the Ritz. His clients included numerous female celebrities from the entertainment industry. Koch founded the Kopf & Kragen Literaturverlag and was its proprietor. In 2002, he was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for his involvement in social projects.
