Regina Rusch

Regina Rusch (1945–2017) was born in Hamburg and studied literary studies. She subsequently worked as a freelance journalist and edited anthologies for children. From 1980 to 1995, she directed a cultural initiative in Frankfurt am Main, where she organized writing competitions and local children’s book fairs. In 1988, she established the “Kalbacher Klapperschlange,” a children’s jury literature prize. She received the German Federal Cross of Merit and the “Göttinger Lesezeichen” for her commitment. Rusch wrote numerous novels for children and young adults.
