Ranga Yogeshwar

Ranga Yogeshwar (born 1959) is a physicist and science journalist. He worked at the Swiss Institute for Nuclear Research, CERN and Forschungszentrum Jülich before serving as a science editor at WDR in Cologne from 1987 to 2008, where he also headed the science programming group for several years. He developed and hosted programs including »Quarks & Co«, »Wissen vor acht« and »Die große Show der Naturwunder«, which presented scientific topics to a broad audience. His numerous honors include the Georg von Holtzbrinck Prize for Journalism (1998), the Grimme Award (2003) and the German Television Award (2011). In 2009, he received an honorary doctorate from the University of Wuppertal. His books »Sonst noch Fragen?« and »Ach so!« have been translated into several languages.
