Ralph Metzner

Ralph Metzner (1936–2019) was an American psychologist and author. In the 1960s, he earned doctorates in philosophy and clinical psychology at the universities of Oxford and Harvard. Together with Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert, he participated in a psilocybin research project at Harvard. During the 1970s, Metzner devoted ten years to the study of Agni Yoga, a meditation system. He published numerous books and writings on psychedelic consciousness research.
