Pingru Rao

Pingru Rao (1922–2020) was a Chinese author and editor. Born in Nanchang, he joined the army in 1940 and attended the Military Academy of the Republic of China in Chengdu. He was appointed captain in 1948. Because of his role in the Nationalist army, he spent part of the period from 1958 to 1979 in a re-education camp in Anhui. He later worked as an editor and published a medical journal.
