Peter S Beagle

Peter S. Beagle, born in New York City in 1939, is an American fantasy author. His best-known works include The Last Unicorn, The Folk of the Air, and The Innkeeper’s Song. He also wrote the screenplay for the animated adaptation of The Last Unicorn (1982) and worked as a screenwriter on Ralph Bakshi’s animated film The Lord of the Rings (1978). His writing has received numerous honors, including the Hugo Award, the Nebula Award, and the World Fantasy Award for Life Achievement. In 2018, the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America named him a Grand Master.
