Oliver Plaschka

Oliver Plaschka, born in 1975 in Speyer, earned a doctorate from Heidelberg University and worked as a freelance author and translator. He wrote novels and short stories that were partly fantastical and partly historical. His debut, *Fairwater*, received the German Phantastik Prize in 2008. His other works include *Die Magier von Montparnasse* and *Das Licht hinter den Wolken*.
