Paul Biegel

Paul Biegel (1925–2006) was a Dutch writer and one of the major authors of Dutch children’s literature. He wrote more than 50 children’s books and received numerous awards for his work, including multiple Silver and Golden Griffel prizes. His book *A Story for the King* was named Children’s Book of the Year in the Netherlands in 1965.
