Otto Waalkes

Otto Waalkes (born 1948 in Emden, East Frisia) is a German comedian and artist. While studying painting and art education at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste, he performed in small clubs. In 1972, he released his first LP. His career subsequently included tours, numerous recordings, television shows, books, and feature films. Waalkes has also worked as a painter, linking his early artistic training with his later career as a comedian.
