Olivia Vieweg, born in Jena in 1987, studied visual communication at the Bauhaus University in Weimar and screenwriting at the HFF Munich. As an author and illustrator, she has published comics, graphic novels, books and screenplays. Her best-known works include »Endzeit«, »Huck Finn«, »Antoinette kehrt zurück«, »Schwere See, mein Herz« and »Antigone«. Her comic »Endzeit« was adapted into a film, for which Vieweg also wrote the screenplay. In 2010, she received the ICOM Award as co-editor of the manga anthology »Paper Theatre«; in 2012, she received an Egmont comic scholarship, and in 2015 the Tankred Dorst Award. Her novel »Die Stadt der Schattenschläfer« received awards from MDM Film Funding and Magellan Verlag.
