Okwiri Oduor

Okwiri Oduor, born in Nairobi in 1989, is a writer. In 2014, she received the Caine Prize for African Writing for her short story “My Father’s Head.” She completed a doctorate at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and was a fellow of MacDowell and Art Omi. Her stories have appeared in Granta and Kulturaustausch, among other publications. “Anderwelttage” is her debut novel.
