Gudrun Honke

Gudrun Honke is a translator and editor. She studied literary studies in Bielefeld and lived for extended periods in several African countries. An authority on African literatures, she translated works by Patrice Nganang and Hemley Boum, among others, and translated French-language African literature together with Otto Honke. She also led the initiative “Guck mal übern Tellerrand,” which introduced young readers in Germany to literature from Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
