Nora Bartels

Nora Bartels studied Japanese Studies and Chinese Studies in Berlin and earned her doctorate in Heidelberg. During a research stay at Osaka University, she deepened her knowledge of Japanese and Chinese culture. She worked as an educational-programme officer at the Mori Ōgai Memorial in Berlin and as a freelance translator. Among the authors whose works she translated into German is Hideo Yokoyama.
