Nils Mohl

Nils Mohl (born 1971 in Hamburg) is a writer and screenwriter. His work includes novels, poetry, plays, and essays. His novel “Es war einmal Indianerland” was adapted for the screen in 2017; Mohl had already received the German Youth Literature Prize for it in 2012. Among his other distinctions are the Oldenburg Children’s and Young People’s Book Prize, the Josef Guggenmos Prize for Children’s Poetry (2022), the James Krüss Prize for International Children’s and Young Adult Literature (2024), and the Lola in Bronze at the German Film Award.
