Neil Douglas-Klotz

Neil Douglas-Klotz, born in 1951, is a scholar of religion, psychologist, and author. His work has focused on mystical traditions and the origins of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. He served as head of Comparative Spirituality at Holy Names College in California, chaired the Mysticism Group of the American Academy of Religion, and taught for Sufi Ruhaniat International. He also founded the International Network for the Dances of Universal Peace and directed the Edinburgh Institute for Advanced Learning. His work includes the study of Middle Eastern spirituality and the interpretation of Semitic languages such as Hebrew, Aramaic, and Arabic.
