Moritz von Uslar, born in Cologne in 1970, is a German journalist, author and playwright. He worked as an editor for Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin and DER SPIEGEL and as a reporter and interviewer for DIE ZEIT. His publications include the plays »Freunde«, »Freunde II« and »Lulu«, the interview collections »100 Fragen an …« and »99 Fragen an …«, the novel »Waldstein oder Der Tod des Walter Gieseking am 6. Juni 2005«, and the reportage novel »Deutschboden. Eine Teilnehmende Beobachtung«. He received the Fontane Prize of the city of Neuruppin for »Deutschboden«, which was adapted for the cinema by André Schäfer in 2014.
