Monika Oschek

Monika Oschek, born in Katowice in 1986, studied acting at Berlin University of the Arts and worked at venues including the Deutsches Theater Berlin, Neuköllner Oper and Schauspiel Hannover. She became known for roles in the television series »Charité« and »Hausen«, as well as in Maria Schrader’s Berlinale film »I’m Your Man«. She also appeared in »Betonrausch«, »The War and Me« and »LIBERAME«. In addition, she recorded numerous audiobooks, podcasts and radio plays. In 2021, she was nominated for the Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik in the children’s audiobook category for »Tschakka – Huhn voraus«. Oschek also worked for two years as manager of the radio-play production company MooEntertainment, which was named a Cultural and Creative Pilot in 2021. In 2020, she founded an initiative advocating more physically diverse casting in film and theatre.
