Mirjam Bitter (born in Heidelberg in 1978) holds a doctorate in literary studies and works as a literary translator from Italian. Her translations include works by Fabio Genovesi, Stefano Benni, Sacha Naspini, and Mattia Insolia. In 2013, she received the emerging translator award associated with the German-Italian Translator Award. Her publications include the volume “sprache macht geschlecht. Zu Lyrik und Essayistik von Barbara Köhler” (2007).
