Mazlum Nergiz, born in 1991 in Diyarbakır, Turkey, is an author and theatre-maker. He completed the master’s programme “DAS Theatre” at the Amsterdam University of the Arts and writes prose, essays and plays. In 2021, he received the Hans Gratzer Scholarship from Schauspielhaus Wien for his play “COMA”, which premiered there in 2022. The graphic novel “KOMA”, adapted from the play and created with Leonie Ott, was published by MÄRZ Verlag in 2023. His other publications include the narrative “392 Tage der Visionen” and the essays “Falten und Inseln” and “KARL MAY”. He received the EDIT Essay Prize for “Falten und Inseln”.
