Max Baitinger

Max Baitinger, born in 1982 in Penzberg, Bavaria, first trained as a carpenter before studying illustration at the Leipzig Academy of Visual Arts. He worked as a freelance illustrator and graphic artist and published comics and graphic novels including “Heimdal,” “Röhner,” “Birgit,” and “Sibylla.” “Röhner” was a finalist for the Berthold Leibinger Stiftung Comic Book Award in 2016, while “Sibylla” received the award in 2020. Baitinger was also a co-initiator of the comic and graphic arts festival The Millionaires Club.
