Matthias Lehmann

Matthias Lehmann, born in 1983, studied graphic arts and painting at the Dresden University of Fine Arts, where he also completed a postgraduate master’s program. He works as a draftsman, illustrator, and comics artist. His publications include the comic „Claude Monet“ (Prestel); he has also published zines and contributed to the comics anthology „Jazam“. In 2018, his work „Parallel“ was shortlisted for the Comic Book Prize of the Berthold Leibinger Foundation. In 2019, he received the Ginco Award for Best Short Comic, and in 2022 he was nominated for the Max and Moritz Award.
