Martin Wolkner

Martin Wolkner was born in the Ruhr region in 1980. He studied English and German linguistics as well as film and television at Ruhr University Bochum and the University of Hull; he also took courses in philosophy. Wolkner worked as a translator, journalist, film critic and subtitler, and directed the homochrom film festival in Cologne and Dortmund. His novel “Vollmondbraut” was published in 2015. In 2019, further works included his debut novel “Morgenreport”, the poetry collection “immer (noch) wahr – 80 Gedichte” and the novella “Wo Wolken enden”, also available in English as “Where Clouds End”.
