Frank Schablewski

Frank Schablewski was born in Hanover in 1965 and studied fine art and literature at the State Academy of Art in Düsseldorf from 1985. From 1987 onward, he pursued dance studies in Germany, Switzerland, and France, developing work at the intersection of poetry, language, and performance. His choreographed poems were presented at modern dance festivals in Germany, France, and Spain. His literary work has received grants and awards. The novel “Ein Paar aus vier Menschenhälften,” written during a 2016 writer-in-residence fellowship in Istanbul, is the first part of the four-volume work “Schwarmbeben.”
