Martin Schenk

Martin Schenk, born in Vienna in 1970, studied psychology. He worked as a social policy expert for Diakonie Austria and was a co-founder of Austria’s anti-poverty network Die Armutskonferenz. His areas of expertise included social security, health, child and youth welfare, and education. Schenk was involved in social initiatives such as “Hunger auf Kunst und Kultur,” the SozialrechtsNetz network, and “mitgehn,” and taught social work at FH Campus Wien. He contributed to the street newspaper Augustin and to several daily newspapers. His publications include Es reicht! Für alle! Wege aus der Armut (2010) and Die Integrationslüge (2012).
