Martin Pfeiffer

Martin Pfeiffer (1943–2023) studied Indology and Slavic Studies at the Free University of Berlin, where he taught Indology as a Privatdozent from 1990 to 2001. His publications include “Elements of Kurux Historical Phonology” (1972), “Indische Mythen vom Werden der Welt” (1994), and “Kurux Historical Phonology Reconsidered” (2018), as well as articles in Indological journals. From 1975 onward, he translated around 50 nonfiction books into German, mainly from English and also from Italian, French, Russian, and Serbo-Croatian.
