Markus Keller

Markus Keller (born 1971) studied nutritional science at Justus Liebig University Giessen, where he also earned his doctorate. He worked as a scientific author, lecturer and instructor and founded the Institute for Alternative and Sustainable Nutrition (Ifane) in 2010. From 2016 to 2020, he served as academic director of the Vegan Food Management degree program at the Fachhochschule des Mittelstands; in 2018, he was appointed professor of vegan nutrition there. Keller practiced strength training from 1984 and worked as a coach and adviser in recreational and competitive sports from 1990 onward. His publications include books on plant-based nutrition, bodybuilding and fitness.
