Markus Humbach

Markus Humbach was born in Münster in 1969. He studied visual communication, specializing in illustration, at the Department of Design in Münster. From 1996 onward, he worked as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer for publishers, museums, and advertising agencies. Painting had been an important part of his life since childhood, and he was known for his naturalistic drawings. Among other distinctions, he received a scholarship from the Aldegrever Society at Edvard Munch’s studio in Oslo.
