Mark Schneider was born in Gießen in 1975. After training as a state-certified nurse, he joined the German Bundeswehr in 2000. He served as a medical sergeant and held a qualification as a specialist nurse in intensive care. During his military service, he took part in numerous Bundeswehr deployments abroad.
