Mariona Cabassa

Mariona Cabassa (born 1977 in Barcelona) is a designer and illustrator. She studied illustration at the Escola Massana, Centre d’Art i Disseny, in Barcelona. Her drawings and illustrations have appeared in more than 80 children’s books published by various publishers and in several languages. She also taught illustration applied to tattooing at Elisava Design School and at other art and design schools in Barcelona. Cabassa has also worked with the art of tattooing. She comes from a family of enthusiastic gardeners, a background reflected in her preference for drawing and painting flora and fauna.
