Melanie Laibl

Melanie Laibl (born 1973 in Linz) studied translation and communication studies. Her work for children and young people includes picture books, novels, collections of stories, poetry and nonfiction. She has also worked in editorial, journalistic and advertising contexts. Her language-focused children’s literature and nonfiction have received several awards, including the Austrian Children’s and Young Adult Book Prize, the Science Book Prize and the LESERstimmen Prize.
