Cornelia Boese

Cornelia Boese (born 1970 in Würzburg) studied music and worked for many years as an opera prompter, stage musician and children’s concert presenter at theatres from Innsbruck to Stockholm. She subsequently published numerous books and poetry collections in humorous verse for children and adults as a freelance poet. Her picture book “Wo ist Theatrine?” received the Leipzig Reading Compass award in 2022. Her translation of Monika Vaicenavičienė’s poetic nonfiction picture book “What Is a River?” was nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize in 2023.
