Maria Matios

Maria Matios is a Ukrainian writer. She was born in Rostoky in Bukovina. Her novel “Darina, the Sweet” received the Shevchenko Prize, Ukraine’s most important literary award, and was named “Book of the Year 2007” in Ukraine. “Midnight Blossom” was nominated for “BBC Ukraine Book of the Year 2013.” Matios’s works have been translated into numerous languages.
