Maria Csollány (1932–2018) was a translator. After fleeing the Netherlands for Hungary, she worked there from 1953 for a Hungarian daily newspaper and as a translator. Following the Hungarian Uprising, she fled again to Germany in 1956. From 1971 onward, she translated English, Hungarian, Dutch and Afrikaans texts into German. Her work received multiple awards.
