Maren Ermisch

Maren Ermisch (born 1976) studied German and English at Kiel University. From 2003 to 2009, she worked at the Buddenbrookhaus in Lübeck. She received her doctorate from the University of Göttingen in 2015 for a study of Theodor Fontane and nineteenth-century German travel writing about Scotland. Together with Heinrich Detering, she curated the exhibition “Bürger auf Abwegen. Thomas Mann und Theodor Storm”. She has contributed to scholarly editions of works by Theodor Fontane and Siegfried Lenz, including Fontane’s “Jenseits des Tweed” and “Ein Sommer in London”.
