Marc Calmbach holds a doctorate in education (Dr. paed.) and a degree in industrial engineering (Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. (FH)). He was affiliated with the Music Sociology Research Centre at Ludwigsburg University of Education. His research focuses include youth cultures, self-socialisation, and young people’s social engagement with music and media. In 2007, he co-edited the volume “Arbeit, Politik und Religion in Jugendkulturen. Engagement und Vergnügen” with Udo Göttlich, Renate Müller, and Stefanie Rhein.
