Lisa-Marie Dickreiter (born 1978) studied screenwriting at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg and worked as a dramaturge and author. Her debut novel, »Vom Atmen unter Wasser«, was included in 2012 by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung in its canon of the 20 best German-language authors under 40. She received several awards and fellowships, including the Alfred Döblin Fellowship. In 2023, the read-aloud book »Karlchen hilft allen, ob sie wollen oder nicht«, co-written with Andreas Götz, received the German Children’s Book Award.
