Lina Thiede

Lina Thiede was born in 1996. She studied comparative literature, musicology, and the theories and practices of professional writing in Saarbrücken, Bonn, and Cologne. Her debut novel, “Homo Femininus,” was published by The Dandy Is Dead in 2020; her earlier publications include the 2017 e-book “Verbanntes Herz.” Her short stories have also appeared in anthologies and literary magazines. Thiede has received several awards from the Young Literature Forum Hesse-Thuringia, won the hr2 Literature Prize in 2021 and 2022, and received the Berlin Science Fiction Prize in 2024. She was a scholarship holder of the Hessian Literary Council and the Goethe-Institut Czech Republic, and was writer in residence of the city of Gelsenkirchen.
