Klaus Vonderwerth

Klaus Vonderwerth (1936–2016) was born in Berlin. After training as a commercial artist, he studied at the Meisterschule für Grafik und Buchgestaltung from 1955 to 1959. He worked as a freelance artist from 1959 onward. He became known chiefly for his satirical caricatures for major daily newspapers. He also created posters and book graphics and turned to illustrating children’s books early in his career.
