Ottokar Domma

Ottokar Domma, whose real name was Otto Häuser, was born in 1924 in Sankov near Karlovy Vary and grew up in Breitenbach near Johanngeorgenstadt. After training as a commercial artist and serving as a soldier during the war, he worked as a teacher and school principal in Tangerhütte. He later worked as a newspaper editor in Berlin, where he began writing stories and poems and created the fictional character “Ottokar.” Domma died in Woltersdorf in 2007.
