Klaus von Dohnanyi (born 1928) is a German lawyer who was educated in Germany and the United States and worked in business for many years. He joined the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) in 1957. He held numerous political offices, including State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Economics, Federal Minister for Science, Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office, and First Mayor of Hamburg. Von Dohnanyi has written several books; his work Nationale Interessen was published in 2022.
