Katharina Swoboda, born in 1984, studied at the University of Applied Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. She completed a doctorate at the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg on zoo architecture in film and video. Her artistic work connects video art and theory and has been shown in international exhibitions. Her writing has appeared, among other places, in the Journal for Artistic Research and Tierstudien.
