Kate Zambreno

Kate Zambreno, born in Illinois in 1977, is an author and essayist. She worked on the editorial staff of Newcity Chicago and taught creative nonfiction as well as courses on feminism and art at various colleges and universities. Her writing has appeared in publications including The New Yorker and The Paris Review. Her books include Heroines, Mutter (Ein Gemurmel), Drift, and The Light Room. In 2021, Zambreno received a Guggenheim Fellowship.
