Kai Bremer

Born in 1971, Kai Bremer is a literary scholar. He was a professor at the Institute of German Studies and the Research Center for the Cultural History of the Early Modern Period at Osnabrück University and taught at Freie Universität Berlin. His research includes contemporary literature, particularly poetry and drama, as well as the early modern period and the history and theory of philology. His publications include Postscript Peter Szondi (2017), On Rilke’s Sonnets to Orpheus (with Christoph König, 2015), and Conjecture and Crux (co-editor, 2010). In 2017, he received the Justus Liebig University Giessen Prize for Postscript Peter Szondi and the habilitation associated with it.
