Matthias Bauer

Matthias Bauer, born in 1962, studied German studies, journalism and history at the University of Mainz. He received his doctorate in 1992 and was appointed to a professorship in modern German literature at the University of Flensburg in 2007. His research focuses on the theory of the novel and narrative studies, film and media analysis, cultural semiotics, diagrammatics and scenography, as well as the history of European cinema.
