Jutta Leskovar was born in Linz in 1972 and studied prehistory and early history as well as history in Vienna. In 2001, she became head of a collection at the Upper Austrian State Museum. Her research focuses on the Early Iron Age, particularly the Hallstatt period, as well as gender archaeology and the relationship between modern paganism and archaeology.
