Gudrun Wieser

Gudrun Wieser (born 1987 in Frohnleiten) studied to become a teacher of German and Latin at the University of Graz and earned a doctorate in Classical Philology (Latin) in Graz and Vienna in 2017. She worked, among other roles, as a university lecturer and language-course instructor, and taught Latin, German, intercultural social learning and drama at Graz’s Academic Gymnasium. She also performed as a storyteller, including in the duo Wieser&Wiesler with Marion Wiesler. In 2024, she received the Newcomer Award of the Graz FineCrime Festival. Her historical crime novels featuring gendarme Wilhelm Koweindl and teacher Ida Fichte began appearing in autumn 2022.
