Julia Kissina

Julia Kissina, born in Kyiv in 1966, studied at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in Moscow and the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. In the 1980s, she was associated with the Moscow conceptualist circle and published texts in samizdat. She works as an artist and writer. Her German-language publications include “Vergiß Tarantino,” “Elephantinas Moskauer Jahre,” “Frühling auf dem Mond,” and the children’s book “Milin und die Zauberkreide.” In 2006, she founded The Dead Artists Society, which used séances to engage in dialogues with historical artists.
