John Dickie

John Dickie is a historian and journalist. He taught Romance studies at University College London and published numerous books on the history and culture of Italy. His book *Cosa Nostra: A History of the Sicilian Mafia* became an international bestseller. In 2005, the President of the Italian Republic appointed him a Commendatore of the Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity.
