Johannes Schelhas

Johannes Schelhas (born 1961) is a German Catholic theologian. He was ordained a priest in Magdeburg in 1990 and subsequently worked in pastoral ministry. He earned his doctorate in Frankfurt am Main in 2000 and completed his habilitation in Bonn in 2012. From 2013 to 2020, he was Professor of Dogmatics and the History of Dogma at the Theological Faculty of Trier. In 2020, he took up the Chair of Dogmatics at the Faculty of Catholic Theology at the University of Bonn.
