Christoph Hubig

Christoph Hubig is a German philosopher. He studied philosophy, musicology, German studies, sociology and mechanical engineering in Saarbrücken and at Technische Universität Berlin. He received his doctorate in 1976 with a thesis on dialectics and the logic of science and completed his habilitation in 1983 with a study of action, identity and understanding. He held professorships in practical philosophy and philosophy of technology in Berlin and also taught or conducted research in Karlsruhe, Leipzig, Stuttgart, Dalian and at Technische Universität Darmstadt. His areas of work included the philosophy of technology and culture, philosophy of science and social philosophy, as well as applied ethics, including technology, business and environmental ethics.
